It Takes Prayer To Change Things

Prayer is a humble entreaty made to God

If Jesus prayed even more should we do the same.

Jesus often went off by himself to pray.

Prayer of Faith: James 5:14-18 & Mark 11:24-25

This is what Jesus spake to the disciples after they saw the fig tree and it was dried up from the root.

Prayer of Agreement: Mathew 10:19

Prayer of Intercession: Acts 12:1-5 & Exodus 32:11-14

This is when Moses stood in the gap for the people of God when they were in the wilderness and sinned against God. By making a molten (idol) calf out of the women’s earring and offered up burnt and peace offerings.

Numbers 11:11-20

Again, Moses interceded for the people of God which were murmuring and complaining.

Numbers 6:22-27

Prayer of Blessing:

The Jews still pray blessings on their children.

John 17 – Jesus is forever interceding on our behalf.

Instructions on Prayer: Matthew 6:5-7

Prayer Jesus Taught Disciples: Luke 11:2-4

This is when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.

Luke 18:1-7 – Pray without ceasing. We have to be persistent in prayer.

Things That Hinder Our Prayer: Psalms 66:18

Hatred, Malice, Jealousy & Any Unconfessed Sin

We must pray at all times. Prayer is one of our weapons God gives us.

Always pray in Jesus name when we pray. Plead the blood of Jesus.

Results of Prayer: Book of Esther Chapter 4

Esther and Mordecai and the Jews prayed and God turned things around for them.

Acts 12:5

When Peter was in prison, the church prayed without ceasing. God sent an angel of the Lord to free him.

Acts 16:25

Paul and Silas at midnight prayed and sang praises to God. The guard and his family was saved.
